This notice explains how gearpress.co.uk stores or reads information on your
device. Cookies are small text files. Similar browser storage can serve the
same purpose.
Essential store technology
Gearpress uses essential cookies and session storage to provide functions
you request. These include:
- keeping products in your basket;
- moving between basket and checkout;
- maintaining account and sign-in security;
- remembering checkout progress and selected delivery options;
- protecting the site against fraud and misuse; and
- remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice.
These are required for the shop to work and do not need consent under the
rules that apply to essential storage and access.
Payment services
Payment services shown at checkout may store or read information when their
buttons, messages or payment screens load. They use this for payment
processing, security, fraud prevention, session continuity and, where shown,
eligibility for payment options. Their own privacy and cookie information is
available through the payment service.
Analytics and advertising
Gearpress does not currently use standalone analytics or advertising
cookies. If we add optional technology later, we will update this notice and
ask for consent before it is used where the law requires.
Your browser controls
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking
essential cookies may stop the basket, account or checkout from working.
Browser help pages explain the controls for the browser and device you use.
Cookie notice preference
When you select “Understood” on our notice, we set
gp_cookie_notice for six months. Its only purpose is to
remember that the notice has been dismissed.
